Ranks
One ledger runs the whole site. Verified runs, published maps, guides, wiki edits, and tournament results all pay into it, and your total sets your rank across 10 tiers of 5 divisions each.
Tournaments run on their own currency: season points. Points decide the season standings. They also feed the global ladder, but at a fixed exchange rate, because one tournament pays points in the thousands while a verified record on the site pays 100 XP.

Where points come from
Category placement Your time in each category is scored against the fastest time in your rank group.
The closer you are to it, the more it pays. 100–2,500
Easy mission 500

Bracket match Submitting a run in a bracket match you did not win. A bye pays it too. 400
Bracket win Taking a contested match. Paid instead of the match points. 2,000
Champion bonus On top of every win on the way there. 5,000
Worked through: knocked out in round one is 400 points, 13 XP. Winning a 4-round bracket outright is 13,000 points, 433 XP. Bracket payouts are the standard ones; an organizer can set their own for a given tournament.
